I enjoyed the reaction shot. In this shot, you can see the subjects reaction to something off camera. This shot lets us know how the subject feels and catches their genuine reaction. I also enjoyed the low angle shot. This shot makes the subject look big from the angle, making them seem powerful.

Another shot i enjoyed was the high angle shot. This shot makes the subjects look small and ant like and we feel like giants looking at them.

I really enjoyed the follow shot. This shot followed the subjects, showing what's going on and also the environment. The emotions that can really be felt are excitement.


I also enjoyed the pan shot. In this shot, the recorder pans from one subject to another so you can see who they're talking to.


Another shot i enjoyed was the over the shoulder shot. In this shot you can see one of the subjects point of view. You can also see the subjects head and part of their shoulder so we know whose pov were looking at.

Camera angles in a movie

  The movie that I chose was  a 2017 action film called, "What Happened To Monday" directed by Robert WirKola. This movie takes place in the future as overpopulation and famine has become a big problem. Due to overpopulation and famine, families are only allowed to have one child. One day, 1 of seven siblings disappear and the siblings do everything they can to find her, only to find out she sold them out. In the beginning of the movie, the narrator talked about how to world was falling apart due to overpopulation, climate change and famine. Not being able to produce enough food for the entire world was a problem and they needed to find a solution. This shot is an establishing shot which shows the location and mood in which the movie takes place in. That is what homes look like after a natural disaster hit because of climate change, homes submerged underwater and the water is so high up that you can not even see the ground or the tree bark. Mise-en-scene

 The movie I decided to use to show mise-en-scene was the 1997 film, “Titanic.” The RMS Titanic was originally built in 1909 and began its voyage on April 10 th , 1912. Now because this took place such long ago, there will be many things we see in the film that we may not see as much in today’s society. Mise-en-scene focuses on 4 main elements, lighting, costumes, setting and staging. To start off, Titanic starts off by showing an old, vintage video of the actual titanic I presume, showing people on the dock waving good by to their friends and family who are on the ship. Cameras back then didn’t have the capabilities to produce colors as cameras today do. The scene of the ship tells us that this is where the movie will be taking place. The whole movie takes place on the ship, even when they cut from the past to the present, they are still on a ship. Moving forward, as the scene switches, we see some type of submarine going down into the ocean and soon touches the ocean floor. The...
